Book Cover Design Services & Pricing

 

Paperback Design of front cover, spine and back cover, and a detailed creative discussion of your hope / vision for your book, whether you already have an idea or not. Together we go over the possibilities and I offer suggestions that extend and enhance, allowing us to create a dynamic book cover.  I always receive a vision when I hear a book title and so will give you a verbal description of the vision for your book, and / or a quick visual draft, giving you the option to decide if my vision is what you might like to have as your book cover.  Depending upon complexity, fees range from $550.00 to $1250.00.

 

After our discussion, when an agreement is reached about what vision will be created for your book, an exact figure will be calculated and submitted for your approval.

 

Hardcover DustJackets include the “flaps” and more detail.  Add $250.00 to your project cost for hardcover design.

 

Photo Retouching / Montague is available for adding photographs to your book cover. This service covers any retouching, adding background, adding filters, or enhancing areas to create a cover image that pops!  Cost:  $75.00

eBook (using your existing book files)

With the Internet, offering a download of your book as an e-book for sale, or a free sample chapter, is a great option.  Your e-book, or sample chapter, will come to you as an “E-file” or a “DNL-file.”  Both files allow your manuscript to be read, on screen, in book form.  E-files open in any web browser.  DNL files open with a free, downloadable book Reader.  You will receive both the E-file and the DNL file.  A PDF file can also be created, if you choose.

 

Complete EBook - $250.00 for E-files AND DNL file.  Add $50.00 for PDF files.

 

Single sample chapter e-book:  $125.00  A single chapter of your book, which will include the front matter and cover art, will be created and sent to you as an E-file and DNL file.  By creating a link on your web site, your web visitors will be able to read, in book form, this sample chapter.  Add $25.00 for an additional PDF file.

Marketing Materials and Branding : I also design post cards, bookmarks, DVD/CD case and face, letterhead, website banner, and color brochure / media kit.

Postcard:  $150 4 x 6 using book cover image, color front, B&W back.

Bookmark:  $150 2 x 8 vertical, using final book image, front.

Book Brochure:  $450  Your full-color book brochure will feature your original book cover art, a synopsis of your book, a brief bio, and any professional endorsements and reviews that you would like to include.

All computer files will be sent to you, the customer, in all formatsyou request, ie, pdf, dnl, “e,” word, text, etc.  All material and copyrights revert to you, the customer, once the complete project is complete and full payment has been received.

Credit cards accepted through PayPal.  After our discussion and agree-upon fee, a PayPal button will be created for payment.  If you prefer to pay by check, your project will begin after payment clears through the bank.  Money orders and direct wire transfer to the bank are also options.
